Artist's Description
The most important items for a soldier today is his rifle, body armor and boots. My boots have been around the world and kissed the sands of many places. To look at this picture, reminds me of the hardship that I endured, yet it also brings back great memories of buddies that I served with. To all of the veterans out there, I want to say thank you.
The word "Foot Soldier" says it all; your boots are what will make you or break you when you are on your feet wearing a bunch of gear. Your rifle and your body armor are a lot alike in that you hope you don't need either. Spending days on end in this gear becomes so normal that when you take it off, you feel like you are missing a part of your body. It's good to be home.

By David Morefield I started photography for a couple of reason, the main reason was for the pure enjoyment of creating something beautiful. In my past, I have seen some of the greatest horrors known to man, so finding other images to place into my head has been therapeutic. I call it "Image Replacement Therapy." Over time, I had some people ask about buying prints, so I started posting prints for sale and this is how Fluffyshotme Photography was born. I prefer to go out and capture whatever strikes me in the moment and if others like it, then great. My photography is more for me to appreciate, but if others can get enjoyment out of my work, then that brings me a sense of fulfillment. I am interested in travelling the world....
